How To Recycle uPVC Windows

It couldn’t be easier to recycle your uPVC windows. We have worked with our sister company to create an efficient recycling system. Your old uPVC windows will be collected using low-emission vehicles with carbon-friendly routes. Our drivers find the best quotes that don’t have unnecessary time spent on the road. From start to finish, we are passionate about being sustainable.

Once the uPVC windows reach the recycling facility, they are shredded into smaller pieces. This allows us to recycle the material thoroughly so that we can get the most material recycled as possible. It is important for us to provide raw uPVC material that can be used for a wide range of products within the UK.

Once the material has been shredded, it goes into a sorting system. The uPVC is sorted by size, which allows us to sift through it a lot easier. We go through each of the sizes and then remove any metals or non-uPVC materials. You don’t have to worry about removing handles or additional hardware, as we have the machinery to do this.

We continue to go through the uPVC, removing any metals and colours that cannot be compressed into recycled materials. Once we have pure uPVC material, it goes into the final stage. The material goes through an advanced melt filtration system, turning the recycled uPVC material into pellets.
